Scruffs® Offer Support to Heartwarming Campaign
Manchester-based luxury pet bedding company Scruffs® have recently donated products to a Golden Retriever named D'For, after he was cleared of a severe variety of cancer recently.
Essex-teen Jack Richards' dog D'For was diagnosed with one of the worst varieties of cancer, Melanoma, at only 6 months.
However after several operations and expensive trips to see various specialists, the family were told that the treatment had worked and D'For was miraculously free of the disease!
The family were warned that the cancer could return at any time, but 13 years later and D'For is still going strong!
After stumbling across old photos of D'For, Jack posted about this heartwarming story online, and has since received worldwide attention.
Jack said: "He's such a lovely dog and still playful even at his age. I've more or less grown up with him so we're very close, hence why I tweeted his story!"
Due to the worldwide popularity of his tweet, Jack has recently started a fundraising page alongside the National Canine Cancer Foundation to support other dogs who are in a similar position to D'For.
