Our Self-Cooling Mat is designed to provide relief for pets, and is typically 5-10 degrees colder than room temperature. The mat is filled with a non-toxic gel which is made up of 98% water, and 2% medical grade. When in use, the mat will maintain it's cooling properties for approximately 1 hour depending upon the environment. To reset the mats cooling properties simply leave unused for 1 hour, there is no need to freeze or refrigerate.
