Manchester-based pet bed specialists Scruffs® have donated a number of items, including the plush Snuggle Blanket, to 'Salt's Helping Hounds' charity this month.

The Scruffs® Snuggle Blanket is a great gift for any dog owner. The reversible design provides a soft, plush lining for cold snuggle days and a faux suede cover for warmer days. The blankets hollow fibre core means however you decide to use the blanket your pet will remain comfortable.

Salt's Helping Hounds is a group which specialises in fundraising to help abused, unwanted and abandoned companion staffordshire bull terriers.

The organisation quotes: "The current plight of the Staffordshire bull terrier has reached a crisis point. This much maligned breed probably takes up the majority of rescue centre places. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier receives a lot of bad press in the media, but this dog is one of the most loyal, trusting, human orientated dogs you will find. They are one of only a few breeds that the Kennel Club actually specify as "good with children" - hence the nickname of "The Nanny Dog"

In order to try and help those poor unfortunate Staffies who find themselves in kennels, rescue centres and pounds through no fault of their own, Salt's Helping Hounds aims to raise as much money as possible through various fundraising events.

Salt's Buy It Now Page (BIN) allows people to sell an unwanted item and donate a minimum of 25% of the proceeds, businesses are asked to donate 10%."
