Scruffs® to Launch NEW Insect Shield® Collection this Spring
Manchester based pet-bed specialists Scruffs® have announced a new partnership with Insect Shield®, to develop a collection of pet bedding and accessories integrated with the Insect Shield® built-in protection.
Insect Shield® technology provides effective, invisible and odourless protection, and is designed to effectively protect your pet against; Mosquitoes, Fleas, Ticks & Flies. This technology used by more than 50 brands worldwide across various industries.
Insect Shield® was born in 1996, when founder Richard Lane led a team of researchers to develop a patent-pending process of bonding a proprietary repellent to apparel. Permethrin, is a safe and effective repellent that has been EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) registered since 1979. The Insect Shield® technology effectively bonds to this repellent, providing a long-lasting protection without the need to re-apply.
EPA registration was granted to Insect Shield® after seven years of comprehensive testing. During that time, researchers perfected the formulation, procedures & specialised equipment necessary to produce the repellent apparel, which is now used by more than 50 brands, in various industries, across the globe.
Scruffs® has partnered with Insect Shield® to develop a collection of pet bedding and accessories, using this built-in protection. These products feature light-weight fabrics which are designed for use in the summer months.

Scruffs® is launching the technology in the following bedding and accessory styles; Mattress, Box Bed, Crate Mat, Bandana, Snood & Vest. The Insect Shield® Collection will launch with Mattresses, Box Beds & Crate Mats this May, followed by Bandannas, Snoods & Vests in June 2017.
The Collection will be available to purchase directly from www.petslovescruffs.com and from a network of retailers around the UK & Europe.
The Insect Shield® Collection will replace the Scruffs® Anti-Odour/Anti-Bacterial range of bedding, which was discontinued at the end of 2016.
